Miles Clee — CEO

Miles has worked as an owner and investor within the technology market for over 18 years. With an Honours Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering his career has been focused specifically within the software sector with Defence work forming a major part.

Miles was instrumental in forming Deep-Secure through the acquisition of the Specialist Products Division from ClearSwift, securing the financial backing in conjunction with Yorkshire Fund Management (YFM). Miles brings strong business management and operational expertise to Deep-Secure with an interest in growth through extension and expansion of the technology.

Robin King — Sales and Marketing Director

Robin is an experienced sales professional with a long track record in business development within the technology sector. With a background gained within Enterprise level sales in systems management software (IBM and CA), Robin adds to that 5 years experience as a Senior Client Manager within the QinetiQ Trusted Information Management team, bringing a range of IA market knowledge that has covered the Defence, Public Services and Commercial sectors.

Dr Simon Wiseman — CTO

Simon has over 30 years of experience in the field of Government computer security. As a subject matter expert, his pioneering work has led to techniques for handling classified information with mainstream commercial software, the Domain Based Security method of risk assessment and development of network security guards performing deep content checking. Simon has also been involved in many significant projects from a security architecture and consultancy perspective, joining Deep-Secure from QinetiQ.

Colin Nash — Business Development Manager

Colin has a wide range of Cyber Security expertise from both Consultancy and Business Development roles. After a 25 year career in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and retiring as a Captain in 1996, Colin worked at QinetiQ, formerly DERA, where he conducted extensive research on Information Assurance and Information Operations.

Colin joined after 5 years managing the Information Security Consultancy Business at QinetiQ where he was involved in a range of projects that covered high security projects in both the Defence and Public Services Sectors.

Andrew Freke — Sales Manager

Andrew has over 15 years experience with major IT providers such as IBM, Fujitsu and more latterly as Strategic Alliances Manager at QinetiQ. During this time he has built a robust understanding of how the secure use of technology can benefit an organisation.

Andrew has developed a trusted network of relationships across many sectors including the UK Public Sector, Utilities, Telecommunications and Finance. More recently he has been involved in major UK HMG programmes where the need for effective IA and security-based approach is vital to the challenges in hand.

Neil Hepworth – Business Development Manager

Neil has over 25 years experience in the field of information systems encompassing research and consultancy for military command, control and intelligence systems, for ballistic missile defence systems and for government management information systems. Neil joined us from QinetiQ where he has been working on Information Assurance research for high impact level government systems focusing on assured sharing of information between systems operating at different impact levels.

James Burgess — Head of Service Delivery

James has over twelve years Support, PSO and Consultancy experience  in the fields of X.400, SMTP and Web Content Filtering solutions. As an experienced consultant, he has a track record of delivering high-end scalable applications to Enterprise and Government organisations, joining us from Clearswift in May 2010.

Sharon Lewis — Product Manager

Sharon has over 25 years of experience in computer security, gaining a detailed knowledge of the most stringent Information Assurance environments of the UK Government. Sharon has significant experience in all aspects of security guard software development and product management, with particular emphasis on application security. Sharon joined us from QinetiQ where she worked within the SyBard product team and was responsible for the development and delivery of products to a range of customers.

Colonel (Ret.) John Doody — Trusted Advisor

John is a retired officer of the UK Royal Corps of Signals, where he served for 33 years as a qualified engineer holding a number of strategic engineering appointments in the UK Ministry of Defence. John was at CESG/GCHQ for 10 years as Head of Information Assurance Customer Services and has a wealth of knowledge across the whole spectrum of Information Assurance at a strategic level within both government and industry. He was recently re-appointed as an International Class Director for Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International (Fairfax Virginia USA) and is also a member of the BCS Community of Security Expertise.

Peter Varnish — Trusted Advisor

O.B.E., FREng

Peter Varnish is an independent electronics and weapons engineer specialising in defence and security technologies advising corporates and Governments in the threat, resilience, offset; technology transfer, mergers and acquisitions. He recently advised the UK Foreign Office on business continuity required for the 2009 swine flu pandemic and most recent increase of terrorist threat.

He began his career with the Royal Navy Scientific Service in 1968 and after 33 years in HM Government Service he retired from the board of the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, [now QinetiQ] to join Definition International Limited as Chairman. He is also director of Geopolitical Solutions Ltd a technology audit company; and Closed Solutions Ltd who provide advice to Middle and Far East Governments.

Peter was awarded the OBE in 1982 for his contribution to the Falklands War.
